Monet's works of art continue to fascinate me immensely. The way Monet handled his paint shows craftsmanship. The speed at which he painted can be seen in the strokes and touches of paint. His water lilies Nympheas are a joy to look at. That was the basis for me to create a number of paintings on the theme of Monets waterlilies, but just a little different. This painting was also painted at speed with fairly small touches of paint stacked on top of each other. The are arranged in such a way that contrast is created through complementary colors and the different shades of green are interspersed with light and sky. The artwork has a modern look and fits almost any interior. A feast of colors in which the Nympheas are clearly recognizable.
